Employee Spotlight – Christine Levine
Meet Christine Levine, Talent Manager
How has your career grown since starting at Marcum Search?
Being part of the Marcum LLP Internal Talent team has given me the opportunity to expand my knowledge in the public accounting industry and the chance to collaborate with colleagues at all levels, helping me to become a more well-rounded Recruiter.
In my career I am most proud of...
Identifying top-notch talent for our firm and watching those individuals’ careers flourish.
My favorite quote is...
“People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.” – Maya Angelou
Three words to describe myself...
Positive, compassionate, hard-working
My perfect day is...
Spending time with my 2 kids and my husband, enjoying the outdoors, playing games and just cherishing our time together because I’m sure as they get older we won’t be cool enough to hang out with anymore!
Advice for my 16 year old self...
Do what YOU want to do, don’t follow others because it is the “thing” to do. Be confident in yourself and your abilities and don’t be hard on yourself for trying and failing.
The person who had the biggest impact on my life is...
My parents! They are always my biggest supporters and have taught me the value of hard work, to treat everyone with respect and that family is the most important thing. I can only hope I am half as good a parent to my kids as they have been and continue to be to me.
Number 1 on my bucket list is...
Italy and Ireland with my family.
What is your best tip on how to stay connected while still practicing social distancing during COVID-19?
There are so many great ways to stay connected during this time…Video chats, phone calls, texts, virtual happy hours, virtual game nights. Take advantage of nice weather and hang with friends outside, socially distanced of course! I live on Long Island and our families are in Massachusetts and Connecticut so that means lots and lots of video calls! Make a plan to connect and stick with it!
