Employee Spotlight – Karen Moses

How has your career grown since starting at Marcum Search?
I started at Marcum Search as a part time Sourcer, so it has changed a lot. My position has evolved into a diverse role from helping to onboard new employees, training, updating our career page, and everything in between. I am able to interact with everyone at the firm, which is my favorite part!

In my career I am most proud of…
Not being afraid to try new things, embracing change, learning from mistakes and accepting challenges.

Hopeful, Intuitive, Resourceful

My perfect day is…
Travelling and visiting any historical place. However, a rainy day is a great excuse to binge watch a good show.

Advice for my 16 year old self…
I would say…. trust yourself, what matters most, is what you think of yourself, not what others may or may not think of you.

The person who had the biggest impact on my life is…
I am not sure there is any one person who has had the biggest impact. Of course, your parents will always be a major influence but there have been many people, who have come into and out of my life, which I have learned something from.

What is one thing you hope to achieve in 2021?
Like everyone else, to get out and start living a normal life again after the last year and a half.
