Employee Spotlight – Patricia Sullivan
Meet Patricia Sullivan - Market Development Director
How has your career grown since starting at Marcum Search?
During the pandemic I was given the opportunity to mentor a few of my colleagues. It was a wonderful learning experience for me as well, making me take a deeper look at what makes me successful and what might need some tweaking.
In my career I am most proud of…
The clients and candidates that I’ve helped along the way. I’m proud that I’ve kept my integrity and have always been forthcoming, honest and follow through to assist in any way that I can.
Tell us a little about yourself…
I am a mother to two sons and four daughters, and this year three grandchildren. I love the beach, a good book, music, exercise, laughter, new experiences and the love of my family.
My favorite quote is…
” When you cease to dream you cease to live”
Three words to describe myself…
Compassionate, Honest, Loyal
My perfect day is…
While I love my family… a day to myself at the beach, walking, reading a good book and people watching, while listening to the waves crashing.
Advice for my 16 year old self…
Listen to my mother, she spoke from the heart, and quite possibly read into the future.
The person who had the biggest impact on my life is…
My father- he always had a calming presence, and was able to put things into perspective without drama. He taught me hard work and to always treat people with respect. My dad taught me and my siblings the value in education, hard work, the love of music and great pastry. He taught us to do good deeds without expecting anything in return and to love life no matter what; live for today, love unconditional
Number one on my bucket list
Visit Italy, enjoy the people, food, culture and of course the wine, beaches and countryside.
A funny or memorable experience from your career or personal life?
Imagine the look on my face when I captured the attention of a silent audience listening to a speaker at an industry event that we were a large sponsor, when I so gracefully stepped backwards into our display sign knocking it over. Between the loud crash and landing on the floor with all heads turned. At least I was able to laugh at myself along with my colleagues… talk about making an impression.
